It’s nearly the end of 206, but we still have two more Bollywood blockbusters to come. This Friday we have Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor starrer, Befikre, that is directed by Aditya Chopra. Then, coming at the fag end of the month is Dangal, and you know who is there in that.
Aamir Khan plays a retired real-life wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat who trains his daughters Geeta and Babita Phogat to become national level wrestlers, competing even at the Olympics.
Dangal is directed by Nitesh Tiwari, and also stars Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Aparshakti Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao in a cameo. The music is composed by Pritam Chakraborty, who is on a roll, after his score for Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkilwas widely appreciated, especially the title track. The lyrics for Dangal is written by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

We have already got two songs from Dangal, that left us quite impressed despite both of them not quite fitting the conventional mould of Bollywood standards. Hanikarak Bapu was a fun number where the daughters are quite fed up of their father’s tyrannical training process, but can’t do a damn thing about it. Gilheriyan was about the sense of freedom one of the daughters experience once she is out of the clutched of her father’s traditional methods of training.
Now Aamir Khan is ready to showcase the title track of Dangal, which is sung by Daler Mehndi on 8 December that is, tomorrow. In a special video to announce this news, Aamir Khan himself reveals how he is a fan of Daler Mehndi (he had sung the title track of Rang De Basanti as well), and that that Amitabh Bhattacharya has spun some fantastic lines for the song.
